In Spring 2024, HMRC opened a consultation on raising standards in the tax advice market.
They sought responses from professional bodies, tax advisors, and other interested parties containing their thoughts on 3 different approaches that aim to strengthen the regulatory framework and improve agent registration.
This consultation closed 29 May 2024.
2024 brings with it two new R&D tax relief schemes, new consultations, and the continuation of HMRC's troubled approach to enquiries.
